Line Planting Turf (over-sowing / direct drilling)
Areas suited for line planting: Sports fields, golf courses, race tracks, recreation areas, median & nature strips
Create a new surface or renovate existing turf:
Rapid establishment
Limited play disruption
Minimal disturbance to surface levels
Sub-surface planting
The line planter shreds the turf and lays it in a thin line that has been ploughed by the machine than a disc pushes the stolons and runners into the soil and a roller presses the soil over the sprigs and the surface is left smooth and flat. Line planting is a cheaper option for planting large areas of warm season grasses such as Kikuyu, Couch and Buffalo.
